The Medicine Wheel is an ancient way of healing and has been used throughout the history of humans in different traditions, although its roots appear to be from a Native American tradition.
It is a representation of the four cardinal directions – North, South, East and West. Each of these directions representing a different aspect of ourselves and through consulting with The Medicine Wheel a person is able to gain deeper insights and healing through the conscious engagement of this particular energy.
Each direction also has its own colour and archetypal representation – and these can vary from one lineage to the next. The teachings of my own trainings with the Medicine Wheel has been predominately from the Andean tradition and merge with other teachings of the wheel as my journey has unfolded. There is no right or wrong way to use this Medicine Wheel.
As my own journey has unfolded, the Medicine Wheel has come in more, and through working with the horses, they have guided me to include this in the work woth them. There is now a permanent, horse sized, Medicine Wheel in their paddock that is used with both private consultations and group workshops.
It is also possible to work without the horses both online and 1:1 with the Medicine Wheel and the flexibility makes this such an incredibly powerful tool to use during any healing enquiry.
Below is a little more details of the Medicine Wheel and what each direction represents as this has been shown to me.
